RE:How Change Happens

Very sorry to hear of teh passing of Thomas Kuhn, his work had profound(sp) effect on me when I first ran accross it many years ago.

Agree that the use of "paradigm" quite a streach when applied to IOMG. After all this is still a spinning platter read by heads on arms. Nothing new about that. Even MO is just a varation on a theme.

Some of the work that came out of PARC (pointing devices, GUI's, OOP) now these were closer to the concept. Even the PC vs Mainframes and punch cards was close (I remember using the later).

A ride like IOMG is fun, but likely not a "new world order" (G).
Re: paradigm shifts and growth stocks, there are "lurches" for sure, but many are based on emotional responses rather than true overnight changes in technology.Much of this related to publicity. Even if the cycles have shortened up from teh recient past (30 years for tech to be adopted . . .phones, TV, ect.) it still takes years for change to take hold.

Well...enough for now.
Thanks for the thoughtfull and thought-provoking posts

I for one would be interested in your "shareware" book, Email if and when you get set to post it.
