Deutsche TeleKom using d-boxes............................. inside-cable.co.uk DEUTSCHE TELEKOM CABLE TO LAUNCH OWN DIGITAL SERVICE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deutsche Telekom plans to launch its own digital programming package to its direct cable customers. The German newspaper Die Woche has reported that customers will need to buy the d-box decoder, developed by the Kirch Group in order to subscribe to the 15 channel package. The channels to be carried are being developed by a range of programmers. They range from Single TV for unmarried viewers, to a holiday channel called TV Tur and include a music channel. Telekom has been supplying the digital programme packages from Premiere, DF1 and ARD, for which subscribers paid directly to Premiere and DF1.
