Re:MDT

MDT, CTSI and HPRT are more of a medical device companies. HPRT I know have been developing minimally invasive surgery for a while now. They have seeking resourcefull companies for funding. Prior to Medtronic, they have seek partnership with St Jude Medical (STJ), the major competitor of Medtronic. There are other breakthrough technologies in the work such as a pin point accuracy laser technology that could replace open heart one day. I don't remember the name of the company working on the laser technology, they are located in the bay area.

CTSI and HPRT will be a takeover target if they perfect the less invasive technology. Either STJ or MDT will negotiate to partner with them leading to eventual merger.
