Hello zwolff,

I do believe that there is all sorts of possibility for new leadership to emerge in Provo, however it now appears that Chris Stone is taking on the accountability to generate that. Through various channels I have been offering to continue to contribute to that ... I would love to see the potential of Novell truly "let loose" on the market.
I am still working extensively with the directory, portal, Personal Directory, and even some of the other features of NetWare products. I plan on being at Brainshare, and have even been asked to contribute to one of the keynotes. I know that it is completely possible for Novell to once again be a leader in the industry ... however it will take great leadership generated from inside the company, and brought in from outside the company, to cause it to occur.
> Otherwise I agree NOVL is doomed.
Doomed is a relative term. ;-)
As some point, if things don't change, I would guess that Novell would be acquired, broken up, and sold off in pieces.
As I look at Novell, I am stuck thinking about another company that failed to realize and generate their value ... Westinghouse. Look at where it started, and what it became.
Anyhow ... I am pleased with the announcements so far this week ... and can't wait to hear more!
