Remember, the majority voted against him twice. voter.com While Clinton could never achieve even a simple majority, Reagan had two majority landslides, the latter the greatest in US history with the exception of Washington's, which was by acclamation. Unlike Clinton, Reagan could have easily won a third term, if so inclined and if the Constitution allowed it.
