I see the competition to Zip as very weak. Zip has strong brand recognition and patent protection.

On the other hand, the Jaz can be duplicated by anyone (i.e. SyJet). It doesn't mater if you have a Jaz and I have a Seagate Whatever drive. We're not going to be swapping 1Gb disks. So this market is open to competition. And believe me, it's comming.

But for Zip, Iomega can BE the standard. No substitutes. (Except that I forsee rip-off Zip disks in the future.)
