pharma: Fwiw, agree with the Zack's report on BAX. I've today swapped out of BAX and placed funds into BDX.
If I could see decently, I'd say it's clear that because of BAX size and products, that it's entrenched in the health care system of the US, and maybe other countries as well. So its business does seem, as Zack's says, "isolated from economic downturns".
Otoh, BAX product recall issues are significant. Further, I'm bothered by management's apparent incompetence with or tolerance for apparently shoddy/defective product.
The stock of this strong S&P company now trades BELOW where it traded at the stock market bottom of '09. That troubles me. Until I come to grips with this, I believe I will stay out.
Stock could be a good value speculation (for somebody else -g-) at current price. ($44.25) I'll go with Zack's, whose target is $41. There, it might be a buy for me. ============ My BDX position acquired 4-5/'09. I'll average up now with a small add. |
