great concern about wiping: I wonder what kind of information people who worry about wiping their HD have on it Frankly, G, in many cases pornography and sometimes of the ilk most 'decent folk' don't cotton to. If you are handing off a PC to a family member, say, even the garden variety adult entertainment would be quite embarrassing should it be somehow recovered and viewed by the donee. I took a screwdriver once to an old drive before tossing...and I don't mean just to the outer casing. My reasons of course were purely honorable... love letters and such ;-) RO
