Its symbiotic, in that it also helps, I didn't say "it IS a parasite", I said it feeds off the economy like a parasite feeds, if it takes to much it damages its host.

Also "hanging together", doesn't have to imply extensive government spending, or even any government action. The government isn't the only form of mutual help or collective action.
