I have the same problem with my laptop. If it's on all day, when it goes into hibernation, it comes back with a black screen.

I'm guessing it has something to do with resources at the end of a long day and the hibernation program getting in at the end.

I thought Win XP was supposed to eliminate the resources problems.

Just a guess.
