The StrongArm is a nice bonus to the deal because it gives Intel an entry into a market that it has not done well in before. StrongArm is a very limited chip, but good enough for its market and I assume it is cheap to make.(which is critical)... maybe P. Engle or some other EE type will comment on this aspect of the deal. INTC well off it's lows, though I'm a bit suspicious that this isn't the end of the decline. Usually they end only after hope has been presented to participants, then withdrawn. This sets the stage for capitulation, lack of expectations, and a turnaround.
