"JCI Ltd has told Reuter on October 1 that it is very close to signing an agreement to develop the open pit Ruashi-Etoile copper/cobalt project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. JCI has reportedly submitted a tender to develop the project in the southern Katanga
province while Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Ltd has also submitted a bid. The Ruashi-Etoile project, near the copper mining city of Lubumbashi, is estimated to contain two million tons of copper and 300,000 tons of cobalt according to the Reuter report."

AMZ also indicated in a previous press release that it was bidding on this project. With Kipushi, Kolwezi and other projects, financing this one would not have been a priority.
