My first thought is that you may not know we are in a bear market until half of the decline has already occured. Maybe you should re-phrase your question to: "Would you hold on to your core stocks after they have declined 15 to 30%?

Assuming that I am smart enough and can act fast enough to adjust my portfolio, I will sell my equity mutual funds and my largest stock holdings (i.e., I will sell the stocks that I have the most money in). I do have a list of stocks that I have set aside for dollar-cost-averaging over the long term (via DRIPs). If we get into a bear market, I will continue to dollar cost average into these issues.

That's just my approach,
