Speaking of James Barksdale, his foray into competition with UPS and USPS was scorned by many. If he can lead Netscape with the same awesome vision and tenacity that he demonstrated with FedEx, perhaps Microsoft's goal of internet dominance will not be achieved.

A couple of months ago many articles appeared about "war" between Netscape and Microsoft. Did this "war" come about because of published comments made by Mr. Andreesen, that "Microsoft can't compare?" I mean, I don't see why Microsoft would really be so apparently consumed. After all, you need Windows to use the Netscape browser. I know people who bought Windows to run Netscape.

Nevertheless, an article in Wall Street journal mentioned this being the most exciting "war" in the last 40 years.
