(Good News) USA to be attacked by a swift running crested bird. Paul Krugman of Miti argues that the US dollar is doing a Wile E Coyote, and is destined to fall. Readers will recall the Road Runner cartoons, in which Wile Coyote habitually ran horizontally off cliffs, looked down, and then plunged. The US$ has a Coyoteish feel, so before the fall anyone with USA dollars can buy MGR/TDC set in weak Canadian dollars and after the fall can sell into strong Canadian dollars. So even if the share price of MGR/TDC does not move, a buy with strong dollars and sell into weak dollars for a gain. Or to put it the other way, buy in weak and sell back stronger. doug
