Norm, my broker sent a standard form letter with the stock certificate for the 1 share of IAUS I bought as a joke, that read "Please safeguard this certificate -- it has monetary value", which was certainly news to me!
(Ok, $20 commissions make one do odd things!!)
Let's see -- the true value of IAUS stock should be similar to that of other companies in small towns in Utah, that don't have the assets to trade on the NASDAQ NMS or SmallCap systems, and thus have to trade on the OTC Bulletin Board, like IAUS. So, for example, we have Pioneer Oil and Gas in Midvale, Utah. You can find their current price by clicking on this link: pcquote.com
(The OTC Bulletin Board isn't completely bad though -- it allows you to buy quality foreign stocks and ADRs that don't trade elsewhere in the U.S. plus a few companies that don't want a lot of shareholders and keep their share price high. Then again, the OTC Bulletin Board guide I have for 1996 says that 2,264 of the 5,427 stocks on it trade for less than 50 cents a share.)
