Dollar General (DG) - Is it worth the risk for quick gain?

Michail

You probably saw the dramatic drop (from $ 24 to $ 16) in DG's price on April 30th, due to discovery of financial irregularities in DG's prior 3 years of earnings reports.

DG currently at $ 16.01. Prelim info indicates the financial irregularities won't "dramatically" affect (not more than 7 cents) the total earnings reports for the last three years, but, of course, the myriad class action suits have just been announced. More importantly, the irregularities won't affect future earnings (except for the litigation costs associated with the class action suits).

Seems to me that DG could pop up to 18 or 19 soon, for a 2-3 dollar scalp, after folks realize it ain't as bad as it initially seemed.

Any opinions/advice you can share on whether you'd even think about buying DG?
