I understand that QLT has been invited to present at a Hambrecht and Quist technology conference in San Francisco next week (Jan 11 - 13).
The interpretation is that this is recognition that their technology platform is now accepted as viable economically by the big boys. This is apparently a factor in the prolonged buying strength. You may have noticed that on the northern side of the border there has been sell pressure on QLT all week. It has been buy side pressure on Nasdaq that has kept it up.
