Bob,

Don't pretend that you know about SYSF real well. You must work for Phoenix Tech or have some friend working there 15 months ago. That's a long time ago. Don't you know that in 15 months, there can be a lot of changes in a high tech company? How long is Netscape around? Did Netscape almost de-throne Microsoft? It sure does not take a rocket scientist to build an expert system and 15 months is plenty of time to build a system such as System Wizard. The key to System Wizard is mainly in the relationship that SystemSoft cultivates with companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Wang, Dec, Lotus to be able to gather the adequate information to build the knowledge-base.

I used to work for Intel and I know Intel is no dummy. Do you think that Intel can be fooled by SystemSoft to have a 9% stake in it? Why don't you send an e-mail to Intel to inform them of what you know of SystemSoft? You seem to know this company's heritage real well.

SystemSoft has been working on the SystemWizard for a year now, and as such qualifies to be a help desk company. Phoenix Tech is trying to get into the help desk business by signing up an alliance with Cybermedia. Having the "on the fly" reconfiguration feature in its PCMCIA products does not qualify PTEC to be a help desk type of company. Cybermedia's product First Aid is only for Window'95 assistance and as such Cybermedia does not quite qualifies to be a help desk type of company. PTEC is primarily a BIOS company while SYSF is a help desk type of company.

Your claim that SystemWizard has to go on the Internet to get solutions to 90% of the problems is understating its power. Suppose that System Wizard can solve 140000 hardware and software problems. How much is 10% of 140000 problems, it's 14000 problems that SystemWizard can solve locally without going onto the Internet.

Mike.
