Friday's employment report will have a significant effect. From my perspective, I think the employment numbers will be dismal. Employers are looking to fill positions but still are not filling them. Those that being filled are short term 1-3 months and at lower salary levels. This in turn will influence consumer spending. I am bearish. I am now not expecting a fall/winter rally. Dow below 5000 is a reasonable number for me at this point in time. Lawrence
