- Threat of inflation is the biggest paper tiger going. - In the 70's, with so few retailers; and almost no Wal-Mart types; higher prices were eaily passed on to the consumer - Now, it's just the opposite. Throw in the internet. Too much free risk capital; & now I'm buying the same Dannon Yogurt for $.50 on sale; which was unheard of 15 years ago. - Also, since our sneakers & clothing is made in developing nations; where wages are low by American standards; don't look for retail prices to come up anytime - Please no one mention oil; which hit $30; settled around $29; & will be back under $20 in 3 months
