What in "In The World" happened? Can we spell 'POLITICIANS ?

Do not blame the politicians. Blame ourselves.

Our politicians are just a reflection of the values of the people that elect them. We are a democracy. We earn the government we deserve.

If we do not like our politicians, then it is up to us to change them.

If your government is corrupt, then the people are corrupt. If you want to change your government, then you have to change the values of the people that elect them.

For example. We complain about government debt levels (for good reason). But private citizens have been racking up personal debt at rates that our parents and grandparents would have considered reckless. Our government's policy is no different than our personal values. We want more than we are willing to work for and pay for out of our salaries. We want it now since we are too immature to wait and save. Are not our government policies the same?

Maybe the noise we hear is people starting to change their own values. If so, then that is good and government will be improved.
