Networking question to anyone who does wireless network. Router = MR814 Netgear.

Port Forwarding. Most routers allow you to do this and Netgear has a support site that helps with setup at Netgear.com.

My question is whether I need to do this for extra security. The router seems to be working fine. I have done all the recommended setup (change password, network name, use MAC addresses, WEP encryption) I guess it lets all services through now. If I use Port Forwarding, does this add a level of security? I have not touched the original setting.

Thanks in advance.
