Mr. Madison Avenue Bean,
<<Corel and ?>> Since the Corel thread is ( temporarily? ) Vanni - less or Vanni - free as the case may be somebody has to say it: Corel and The Titanic ha, ha, ha...

I don't know if you've seen one of these new print ads but they are very effective in catching the eye. IMHO I think this type of ad could work on a lot of different levels:

The BIGTIME Corporate endorsement certainly. ( BTW I'm making these up ) GM & Corel, McDonalds & Corel, Motorola & Corel, Starbucks & Corel, Planet Hollywood & Corel, Cambell Soup & Corel...Any buyer looks for corroboration to increase his comfort level about his decision. Knowing that other big companies are using WordPerfect, CorelDraw, etcetera would sure add to any buyer's comfort level. This kind of ad might go a long way.

BIG Corporate Executive endorsements. These could be great too:
Lee Iaccoa & Corel, Warren Buffett & Corel, Alan Greenspan & Corel, Mick Jagger & Corel, Leo Mitkievicz & Corel. They might have to raid the "Gala" budget for money to pay for some of these but it might be worth it.

Artist endorsements might go well too for CorelDraw. Imagine a few Absolut Vodka-like ads featuring known artists' works done with PhotoPaint and Draw in publications like WIRED.
Regards,
Kurt P.
