the price of LCD monitors finally seems to be down to rational levels

I'm looking to replace the old CRT's on this computer with 3 LCD's

seems like the best price/size is for the 19"'s
not enough price savings on 18's, too much difference for 20's or 21's

for whatever reason I'm biased on Viewsonics but also would look at Sony's or Samsungs

as a price example the Viewsonic VG 900 or VX 900 looks like about $650 retail

anyone have any input?

also, I have a local computer shop that I and friends have used; good local guy
what I'm thinking is to ask him if he can buy direct from Viewsonic
find out the wholesale price then offer him say a $150 cash profit for ordering 3 monitors for me
fast and easy profit for him just for placing an order
I'd think for a $650 retail that the wholesale price is maybe in the $400-450 range

just thinking outloud as I type
