I don't like it. Very similar to McCain/Hillary's stupid gas tax holiday. Similar only in the sense that it is an attempt to win favor with voters by reducing gas prices. It is dissimilar in that opening the SPR for political purposes was an abuse of presidential power, while McCain and Hillary are seeking to use a legal, appropriate process to do the same thing. The entire concept is bogus.
