Makes perfect sense, according to the Ashcroft wet dream. All those gay people start looking at porn, next thing you know they'll want to get married. Then God will withdraw his support for the war on terror and stop protecting our buildings from terrorist attack. If we don't stamp out porn another 9/11 is inevitable. That's why we need a network of patriotic civilian informers to keep an eye out for sexual deviants.

One does find peculiar views on the fringe. When they start creeping into the justice department, there is cause for concern.

If I used emoticons, I would have inserted one designed to indicate that the above rendition of a hypothetical Ashcroft fantasy is meant to be taken as caricature. I hope it isn't accurate.
