Note they are talking about diving robots. If they dive below the thermocline, which varies, they will see little or no change. That is what the thermocline is, the area where there is little or no mixing with top and bottom water. Given the source, I can't evaluate the quality of the paper. This report has come from many places. You are certainly able to Google it if you would like to. All I know is that scientists are baffled by the fact that they expected global warming, and that is not what they are seeing. So, now, they want to blame it on the hardware. No, I'm sure you can't evaluate the quality of the paper. You try to claim expertise on everything, which usually means you have true expertise on nothing.
