But, the market reaction doesn't mean the new phones won't sell. Remember the market and the pundit reaction to the 4S? Collectively panned. And the amazement when the sales numbers came in and it was the most successful smartphone ever.
That's beside the point.

The market hit the SELL in soize button because of no firm release date, no price, no carriers and no countries.

Apple would NEVER do that. All four points would be covered - in detail - during the announcement, as ALWAYS!

Elop was asked, and he declined to answer on all four points.

While - at the same time - he killed Nokia W7 phone sales, dead.

Now, as I already said many times, my Nokia 808 PureView was delayed five times.

When is xmas, again?

Will they get to market with the new W8 Lumias by then? What happens to the old W7 Lumias between now and then, other than a landfill trip?

Nokia losings will be announced on October 18.

HORROR.
But they're doing well with their (unsexy but profitable) new feature phones.
Not really. Getting killed in China, where it counts. And India. I don't see a Nokia uptick there. At all. Nobody else I read does, either.
Curious to see the iP5 camera. I'm guessing 10-12 MP.
No way. 8MP max, given the slim design. Already posted about that here, minutes ago. Physically impossible to go higher in that thin a case, at present.
Nokia didn't hit a home run, it's still a question if they'll have a base hit or a strike out.
I still think, as I said too often, Samsung will eat Nokia's lunch.

Nokia had a HUGE chance to come out with a total game changer: a killer W8 phone with a top notch camera.

Instead, they came out with a decent, candy colored phone and a kinda nice camera on it. Yawn.

Samsung will beat Nokia to market with W8 phones, with more marketing/advertising money push behind them, and a pretty much an equal product. Bank on it!

Yeah, Nokia screwed the pooch alright. Next stop, sell the parts off, buy out, or BK methinks, never ever humbly.
