Our fearless leader and his spin on trade and elections!! Trump used his perch as chairman of the UN Security Council meeting to accuse China, not Russia, of election meddling because Trump claimed that he is “winning” on trade. Video: Trump said, “Regrettably we found that China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election, coming up in November against my administration. They do not want me or us to win because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade, and we are winning on trade. We are winning at every level. We don’t want them to meddle or interfere in our upcoming election.” Trump is going to blame China if Democrats Win CongressTrump has found his scapegoat if Democrats take back the House and Senate in November. Trump is going to claim that the Chinese helped the Democrats win because they were losing on trade. The reality is that Trump’s trade war is hurting America more than China. Prices are rapidly increasing and potentially millions of workers could lose their jobs due to the trade war. Farmers are worried about losing their farms, and Trump is claiming victory at the UN. Experts are warning that Trump is ignoring the impact that higher prices are going to have on consumers and that the result will be decreased consumption. Decreased consumption means lower profits, which translates to layoffs and job losses. Trump isn’t winning. The American worker and consumer are losing. Russian election meddling continuesThe Russian election meddling efforts are ongoing, and in some ways have become more overt. None of this was mentioned by Trump. China is not interfering in the election to help Democrats. Trump is feeding another one of his delusions, as the president can’t grasp the reality that the voters may be preparing to hand him and his party and overwhelming rebuke. The president’s comments show just how far he has retreated into a psychological unreality, as his real presidency is collapsing around him.
