Re: Purchase of Chorus Systems

This is an extrmeley great news. This latest development reminds me of the movie Stir Crazy (starring Richard Pryor, and Jean Wilder) where they are both in jail for being accused of rubbing a bank and Richard Pryor hits one of the huge inmates, living in the same cell, on the head by accident. The huge inmate then gets up and goes toward both of them to beat them up when he suddenly asks them why are you here?. They tell him because of the bank armed rubbery! The huge inmate then smiles and walks away without beating them saying: You kissed the baby! Jean Wilder then asks: Excuse me sir, what baby is that?!!

With a JavaOS it seems Sun is telling Microsoft: You kissed the baby? and eventhough Microsoft knows what baby Sun is talking about, it still pretends it does not know! The thing is as far as I know SunSoft is also in the process of (or at least it was) developing a JavaOS. Perhaps this French company beat them to it and save a lot of development money for Sun. Regardless, this is a great news for Sun.

Watch for Oracle adds (on TV, magazines and everywhere) very very soon along with many others promoting the NC concept. And similar to how companies such as Dell, Compaq, and whoever else has a small logo on all their adds stating: Intel Inside. Sun's logo will be on the markeing materials and adds of all companies promoting the new era of computing model in the already rapidly evolving network society.
