She was adamant on her views to the point of dogmatism. That is how a cult of "individuals" developed. Their are Objectivists, and there are Randians. Randians do not understand Objectivism... they just quote it and worship it like a savage. Branden is a more balanced Objectivist, even though some vehemently deny he is an Objectivist at all and accuse him of betraying the philosophy. His psychology of self-esteem began the sociological movement in the 1980s, although most, including educators, do not comprehend what he has discovered and misapplied it.
