"potential that dell misses numbers reported this a.m. on cnbc."

very interesting. Mr. Cramer of TheStreet reports these rumors that Dell denies in his
column on TheStreet. this came also with rumors regarding Compaq which
also were denied. I am surprised it is repeated again in CNBC. I thought they put that one to rest already. Check it out (www.thestreet.com)

< But the bell had not rung. So the bears came back with another sucker punch: This time Dell was rumored to be guiding people lower. "Dell's calling around," I heard somebody yell. Those three words are Wall Street's equivalent of the Army's "we regret to inform you" telegrams of years past. The PC maker dropped a quick six, and the market went negative on us, with tech leading us down.

We bottomed down about 30 when a ham-handed Morgan Stanley sell program at last ran its course, and then rallied right back to the positive side when Dell's minions issued denials. > from thestreet (copyright)

If CNBC reports this rumor and it is just that- a rumor. then they just repeated the 'sucker punch' all over again by the bears.

OFF ToPIC: how about the other article on the fund manager that got wiped out
totally as in total by Monday' action. wow. A former Soros disciple. $120 million fund down to zero. (even negative). far out man.
