This is the Christmas of the handheld. IMHO The late adopters to the PC world that I know are buying handhelds and net.phones in spades. People want their .net everywhere. Watch the ads on TV pushing handhelds aren't there two or three that run regularly. This is the new battleground at least temporarily. I like the looks of the 3Com "Audrey," if 3Com has this pegged as right as they were on the demand for modems then handhelds maybe they will start the stampede to appliances. Meet Audrey<g> ergo.3com.com Does this thing run the Palm OS? Make this damn thing wireless and you have a winner. Have the base station connected to a cable modem then give everyone in the house one. Can you say, WIRED? We all knew the PC was dead so what's new. Anyone that heard GTW's last quarter results had to expect this as there was all kinds of hanging chad. david
