I think there is an intimidation factor here. The idea that one pays big bucks for a program doesn't really own it. On top of that, they have Microsoft looking down on them when they install it. Should they install it a couple times they have to worry about Microsoft scrutenizing them. Unfortunately, even though I'm a microsoft shareholder, I'd probably opt for a different companys product. Not worth the hassle, especially when you pay more bucks for a product. As for piracy, not for it at all but in most cases, people wouldn't buy it if they couldn't get it for free. Take China for instance. no way the average Chinese can afford $175 for Win 98. So they buy a pirated copy for a few bucks. If they couldn't do that they would either have no PC or run Linux. I believe Microsoft is aware of this and is more in a control mentality rather than complete elimination of piracy...or I hope so... Jim
