It's clear that Brock is seeking forgiveness from liberals for the sin of once having been conservative. What isn't clear is why he feels compelled to go through all this.

It was clear that he had regrets. There wasn't anything at all in the article that indicated or even hinted that he was seeking forgiveness from anyone or any group.

I think the conservative PR machine turn to the ol' tried and true...He's just out to make money [or it's in his self-interest]...same tact that Rove and Lott took on Jeffords, i.e., He only did it for a committee position.

Speaking of Jeffords...I recall that when Jeffords went Independent, Cheney said that it didn't make any difference because it didn't change the vote count, i.e., Jeffords would vote the same whether he stayed a Republican or went Independent. Do you think Cheney really meant that or, as Bush did with Putin, Cheney was couching his terms?
