Robert:
You state:
> Addi is wrong again.... CORBA is not IBM's technology but the OMG's.
Interesting point. And regretfully I was not clear in my post. Yes, true CORBA is based on Object Management Group's specifications, which itself is the result of contributions from many researchers from different companies (to be specific from the following: IBM, HP, SunSoft, ICL, and IONA Technologies and of course OMG itself). And if you want I can go into the specific individual names of those participated in preparing the specifications of CORBA. However, IBM has been the most contributor and because it is primarily IBM that is pushing for the technology that often CORBA is thought as belonging to IBM (which by the way there is a rumor that IBM's T.J Watson Research center in N.Y, may soon own OMG!).
As far as you stating: Addi is wrong again... I certainly appreciate you correcting me, and I certainly appreciate it very much if you can correct me for any incorrect information I have provided in the past, in your own words, as you state and use the word again. I always appreciate learning new things. The worst thing that can happen to one, is to continue living and basing his/her perception of the world based on his/her incorrect set of facts that he/she presumes to be correct!
