Michael Moore's Disease

Hugh Hewitt
<font size=4>
Bush gave a great speech in Missouri today, deftly and powerfully contrasting his record and the campaign he will wage with the gauzy blandishments of last night. There's an even starker contrast with the nuttiness of Michael Moore, a point that cannot be lost on those <font color=blue>"undecideds"<font color=black> out there.

Do they want this president who has in fact waged a very successful war on al Qaeda or the Michael Moore-backed Dems to take up positions in the corridors of the Pentagon? Powell was in Baghdad today, and Pakistan picked up a terrorist big, and both events help to refine the side-by-side comparison of the current Administration with the Kerry-Moore Democrats.

I saw The New Republic's Peter Beinart as we exited the Fleet Center at midnight last night, and he was talking <font color=blue>"July surprise"<font color=black> in connection with the bagging of Ghailani. I think Pakistan has turned up the heat because of assassination attempts and the self-preservation instinct --another attempt occurred today, this one on Pakistan's Prime Minister. <font color=red>I think seizing on stuff like <font color=blue>"July surprises"<font color=red> is evidence of the spread of Moore's Disease.
