The change will have to come from the Senate and House not some unstable president.

The house and senate are becoming less and less relevant. The agencies run by un-elected bureaucrats
spew forth reams of new regulations that are crippling. Zero ruled by executive order. This all needs to be reigned in.

Hopefully this is our black swan event and we as a nation will change things.

I try to make the equation as simple as possible and to me much of modern history can be summed by a battle of two forces: those who value freedom and those who value being taken care of and security and are willing to subjugate their freedoms for that. The inherent fallacy of the second group is that those to whom they have subjugated themselves eventually put their own self interests on a much higher level. Folks then realize that what they devalued before (freedom) is much more significant when they feel the effects of not having it.. that will be the catalyst for your black swam event.
