Carter didnt appease while in office and has nothing to give away now.

Can't you see that Carter's very presence in the ME, his meeting with leaders of Hamas, is "giving" these organizations something? Can you not see the damage it does, when a former president embraces terrorists (which, by the way, is a routine event for Carter), it does damage to the United States by leading OTHER terrorists to believe that terror tactics result in dialog with influential people in the United States?

It is pretty hard to miss.
