My sources tell me that mccain has offered veep to bloomberg with a promise that he will resign before end of first term so bloomie can run as incumbant. For this bloomberg will put up enough personal money (no limitations because he is running) to match obama war chest. Likelihood is that bloomberg wouldnt be able to run as a republican in 2012 but could run as democrat or more likely launch that independent party/movement that he has been talking about for the last two years.
