CB, that's me? Ha, no way--maybe when the market is trending up I can throw a few darts and get lucky. In a bear market (which seems to be where we are heading) I have no freaking idea what to do except to keep my powder dry and hope I stumble on to something. I certainly wont find any great stock by putting an eight hour day into great DD and research. Of course fund managers do that, and most of them cannot beat an index, so there you are. The universe of stocks and mutual funds and exchange traded thingies is far too large and mindboggling for me. The few companies I have followed have done poorly and I am more certain than ever that I have no skill. I suppose I could poach some ideas from the handful of folks on SI that are bright and motivated to do the DD, but we will see about that. (so, when does the next contest begin?) <g>
