Based on the press release and a rough number for talking purposes of per carat average value of $200, the value per tonne of ore comes in at $40. Is this enough to make a mine? Certainly $250 per carat would. Is $250 possible just on the clear white stones? If so, then the fancies currently running at about 9.5% of the grade will make a huge difference. I hope the company will get some valuations of stones on hand so we, the market, can get a better handle on what we've got.

Again, just playing with numbers, if 90% of the stones are worth $200 per carat, and 10% of the stones are worth $400 per carat, then the average value comes to $220 or only $44 per tonne. Therefore each $100 increase in the average value of the fancies per carat only increases the average ore value by $2 per tonne.

Does this look about right? What can one expect for the average value per carat of fancies? I'll try to find that later today and post again.
