Larry or anybody,

I recently installed Netscape 7.1 on my system and have been having problems with it hanging up (not responding) under this condition.

I have the Mail&Newsgoups page selected as the opening page. I can receive and send mail just fine.

Where the system hangs up is when I attempt to hotlink from a URL in the mail window and have the URL open up in Navigator.

(Currently I have selected MSIE 6.0 as my default browser.)

I have selected "blank page" as my option upon opening the Navigator window, but Netscape seems to disregard this instruction and routes me to

home.netscape.com

in spite of the fact that I've not selected "Home Page" and I've edited the above address out of the Location box and replaced it with a local photo file.

I'm baffled. How can I make the unwanted "http://home.netscape.com/bookmark/7_1/home.html" disappear and leave me alone?

I tried to find something through Windows Explorer | C: | Program Files | Netscape.....etc. but couldn't find anything to eliminate.

TIA, Stumpy
