Liberals support for democracy in Iraq doesn't seem to be worth much. At any rate, UN resolutions called for democratic elections for Iraq, they have happened, and a democratic government has been formed.

In the long run, the success of democarcy there will depend on the Iraqis. I am becoming more optimistic about the possibility of democracy surviving due to recent achievements there. The majority of Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds all seem to support an end to hostilities.
