ron forgus: I saw the Cramer interview of WavePhore and the comments he made before the interview. One of the comments he made, not reported, was that during the forthcoming interview he was going to do his best to expose, or some such word, the claims of the company. He did use the word "fraud". At the time I thought it was a naked admission by Cramer of what he is about. He wants to affect the price of stocks.

In the same session he ranted on in support of "old technology" - including Compaq - and got hot under the collar about those who were using Kumar to extrapolate all kinds of trouble. He didn't have the guts to explain to his audience that his own employ Greenberg, was the chief extrapolator of Kumar not only in The Street.com but also on CNBC.

Cramer has been investigated before by the SEC. At the end of the day, though, it is not a matter for regulation. I would prefer freedom of expression and a general warning of "caveat emptor".
