<I see the day when companies will be giving hardware away with the software purchase and support contract. > I agree somewhat. I made that claim to senior management at citicorp in 1986. A good example is Gateway "giving away their computer" with a signup to their internet. But what ever the speed of the processor (and the disk), the demand fills the capacity quickly. With faster communications to the house, multimedia application over the net will be more common. And this will demand more power than what we have today, I believe.
