I can't imagine why Compaq would spin off Alta Vista. Infoseek has a market cap of 1 billion, Compaq 66 billion. If Alta Vista is worth Infoseek, we're talking less than .60 per share. And then, they wouldn't have it anymore for the profile. It makes no sense. Am i missing something?
