I dont think the shiaa iraqis are after more than southern iraq and the rest of iraq can exist in a federal state or worst case three states. Bagdad area might be a flash point again between sunni and shiaa. Sort of their jerusalem. Even in the south, the iraqi shiaa if they can control al sadr will tend to be more secular than iran and there is always the arab/persian friction. Arabs as we know are very sensitive to the perception that they are somehow controlled by foreigners.
