Options basically work two ways...If you are a "call" or "put" writer you are under obligation as the seller of the option to perform. As the buyer of the option, you have the right but not the obligation to perform the transaction which is contracted by the option in question. If you do not excercise the option you only loose the premium you paid. I reccomend that you search out a few sites and buy at least one good book on options as a manual. I also strongly reccommend thatyou get some good TA skills or you'll get killed by the pros.
